Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 28, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Wily App ("we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit our website or use our platform. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which provides broader information about how we handle personal data.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences over a period of time so you don't have to re-enter them whenever you come back or navigate between pages.
In addition to traditional cookies, we use similar technologies such as local storage, session storage, and pixel tags that serve comparable purposes. All of these are referred to collectively as "cookies" throughout this policy.
2. Types of Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies
These cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to function. Without them, features like signing in, maintaining your session, and keeping your data secure would not work. Because they are essential, they cannot be disabled.
- Session management. Maintain your authenticated session between page navigations and browser tabs.
- Security tokens. Protect against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) and related attacks.
- Load balancing. Route requests to the appropriate server instance to ensure consistent performance.
- User preferences. Remember settings you have chosen, such as your selected organisation or theme preference, so they persist between visits.
Analytics Cookies
Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the Service so we can improve it. The data collected is aggregated and does not identify individual users.
- Page views and navigation paths. We record which pages are visited and in what order to identify where users encounter friction.
- Feature usage. We track which features are used and how frequently to guide product development priorities.
- Error tracking. We capture JavaScript errors and failed API requests to diagnose and fix bugs promptly.
- Performance metrics. We measure page load times and API response times to monitor and maintain service quality.
Analytics cookies are only placed with your consent where required by applicable law. You may opt out at any time using the methods described in Section 4.
Preference Cookies
Preference cookies allow the Service to remember choices you make to provide a more personalised experience.
- Display settings. Table column visibility, sort order, and filter selections you have configured.
- Dashboard layout. The arrangement of charts and panels you have customised.
- Notification preferences. Your choices about which in-product notifications are shown.
3. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are set by third-party services that appear on or are integrated into our platform. We do not control these third-party cookies; they are governed by each provider's own privacy and cookie policies.
Clerk (Authentication)
We use Clerk to manage user identity and sessions. Clerk sets essential cookies required to authenticate you and maintain your login state. These cookies are necessary for the Service to function and cannot be disabled. For details, refer to Clerk's Privacy Policy.
Analytics Providers
Where analytics are enabled, data is processed by our analytics provider under a data processing agreement. IP addresses are anonymised before storage and data is not shared with third parties for advertising purposes.
4. How to Manage Cookies
You have several options for controlling cookies:
Browser settings
Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies through their settings. The exact steps vary by browser:
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data.
- Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data.
- Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies.
Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in and using the Service.
Opt-out tools
For analytics cookies, you can opt out at any time by contacting us at [email protected] and we will update your preferences. Where a cookie preference centre is available within the platform, you can manage your choices directly there.
Do Not Track
Some browsers transmit a "Do Not Track" signal. We currently do not alter our data collection practices in response to these signals, but we will revisit this as industry standards develop.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use or applicable regulations. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made. Material changes will be communicated via in-product notice or email where required by law.
6. Contact
If you have questions about our use of cookies, please contact our privacy team at [email protected].
